Nintendo is holding a “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” Direct on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET, it announced on Tuesday.
Afterwards, Nintendo is holding a Treehouse: Live event where it will show off gameplay of “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate,” “Pokémon: Let’s Go!” “Yoshi’s Crafted World,” and “Diablo III: Eternal Edition.”
“Ultimate” is the fifth installment in the popular brawler series. It includes every playable character from the franchise to-date, along with several newcomers like “Metroid’s” Ridley, “Splatoon’s” Inkling, and “Animal Crossing’s” Isabelle. It will feature over 103 stages and 900 musical tracks.
So, what can we expect to see during the Direct? It’s possible more fighters will be revealed. Sakurai has also teased a mystery mode in the past. Perhaps fans will finally learn what it is on Thursday. Previous “Smash” Directs teased “Castlevania”-themed stages and characters, the addition of “Donkey Kong” villain King K. Rool to the roster, and more.
Fans can watch the presentation on Nintendo’s official website, Twitch, or YouTube. We’ll have a player up on Thursday as well.
